I own a 1995 chevy 2500 4x4 and the transmission runs good till it warms up. When I stop at a stop sign and start going again it stays in 2nd gear it wont shift to the other gears. But Reverse works fine. I let it cool off and it works fine, then it does it again.

From your description, I suspect that the filter seal was not installed correctly and is allowing air to enter the system. When you install the seal, it should be put on the filter spout first and then pushed into the transmission seat.

This needs to be corrected before it creates problems.
